VISIT MONACO DURING A STAY ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA

How about a stopover in Monaco? The principality attracts thousands of visitors every year and will surprise you! A crazy city to discover during a stay on the French Riviera.

HEAD FOR THE PRINCIPALITY OF MONACO!

Monaco is a small city with the status of an independent state. It is located on the Mediterranean coast, surrounded by the rest of the French Riviera. It is bordered on one side by the city of Nice and on the other by the city of Menton.

It is a lively city in which you will love to wander around while discovering the very particular lifestyle of the Monegasques. Monaco is known worldwide for its frantic and particularly luxurious lifestyle. Yachts, palaces, casinos... This is what awaits you during your visit to Monaco! Monaco is more than just a marina, a glitzy lifestyle and a Grand Prix car race. Discover our guide to Monaco and enjoy your trip in this very special city !

Discover an emblematic city

Monaco is a unique city. Because it is totally independent even though it is enclosed in the French territory. But also because despite its small size, only 2km2, it is full of treasures to visit! First of all, the principality is made up of many emblems. First of all: let's go to the heights of Monaco! You can go to the famous Rock of Monaco to admire the view of the city, the sea and the port at an altitude of more than 60 metres.

The other emblem of Monaco is the Princely Palace! It alone represents the history of the whole city and the Monegasque family. It is located at the top of the rock, which is also the oldest and most authentic part of the city. Are you ready to follow in the footsteps of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco?

What to do in Monaco?

If you're wondering what to do in Monaco, we can reassure you. Even if the principality is small, there are plenty of activities and things to visit. Here's an idea of 3 things to do in Monaco, you choose what you like best!

  • Go to the famous Monte-Carlo casino! More than an institution, the Monte Carlo casino will impress you. It is located in the district of Monte Carlo and welcomes you every day from 2pm. Be careful if you come with your family, as access to the casino is regulated and accessible from 18 years old.
  • If you want to go for a walk in a unique and much more natural place we recommend you to visit the exotic garden of Monaco.  The entrance fee for adults is 6,90€, for children 3,60€ and free for kids under 6 years old.

  • Our latest activity idea is sure to please your little family! When visiting Monaco, don't miss the Oceanographic Museum. Discover 90 tanks and 6000 different species of fish and invertebrates. You will be able to continue your visit between several different environments: the Mediterranean aquarium, the tropical zone and finally the shark lagoon. During the school holidays, numerous activities are also organised for children, such as fish feeding. With a special "touch pool" ticket costing an extra €6, children can also enjoy a 45-minute session with the marine animals of the Mediterranean. They will be able to discover starfish, baby sharks and crabs. This is a great way to learn about the marine world and to leave with stars in their eyes! Admission to the Monaco Oceanographic Museum is free for children under 4, costs €10 for children aged 4 to 17 and €16 for adults. The student rate is also 10€.
