- Horse riding on the Opal Coast: seaside and country rides
Welcome to the Côte d'Opale, where the pleasure of horse riding blends with the beauty of the countryside. Are you a keen horse rider, or would you simply like to take advantage of your stay on the Opal Coast to enjoy a horse ride?
Horse-riding in the region offers a unique experience: imagine yourself as a rider, riding along miles of beach with only the sea and dunes in sight. This is one of the biggest advantages of the Côte d'Opale: the region has long sandy beaches that are never overcrowded, even in the height of summer, making it an idyllic setting for a horse ride.
Several stables and pensions on the Côte d'Opale offer packages to suit all levels, from beginner to experienced rider, allowing everyone to discover the joys of riding by the sea. Some centres offer a simple one- or two-hour ride with a guide, while others offer complete packages including board and lodgings. These riding centres are often the ideal starting point for exploring the hidden treasures of the Côte d'Opale, whether for a ride or even a bivouac under the stars.
There are many Henson horses in the area, which are perfect for these excursions, allowing you to set off for a ride in complete safety.
Numerous riding stables and centres await you in and around Équihen-Plage. Take the opportunity to ride your horse along the beach at sunset. A magical experience! Here are a few addresses to help you find what you're looking for on the Côte d'Opale and enjoy horse-riding while you're there. Some offer rides on the beach or in the countryside, supervised by qualified instructors.
